Community kitchen in action - a model from Trissur, Kerala, India



Where there is a will there is a way.  Age is no barrier.  Just because people have reached age 60
and retired from active service, does not mean that they have to  sit in a corner at home and
keeping the grandchildren busy playing.

Here in Trissur, a community of elders are playing a very great role voluntarily and without any
kind of reservation to  help the needy in their community.  It is a remarkabkle success story
worth reading and emulating.  

Every volunteer is like a committed soldier and their aim is to help the needy to get their food
at the comfirt of their house at their old age.  Besides that, these volunteers help the needy in
other related services also.  These volunteers serve the community, play a socially relevant role,
find 100%  satisfaction  of serving the community in a very productive manner.
